Coach Gast finished his first season on the coaching staff Southeastern University in 2020.  He assisted with pitchers and infielders for the Fire, who finished the 2020 season #1 in the NAIA national poll.  Before joining the staff at SEU, he coached with the Adirondack Trail Blazers of the Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League in 2019.  Before coaching at the collegiate level, Gast coached with Team Maryland and several other travel organizations. 

 

As a player, Gast won 2 conference championships and a national championship at Southeastern.  He also won both the Sun Conference and NAIA National Champion of Character player awards for his community service and sportsmanship in 2019.  He was additionally named Academic All Sun Conference in 2018 and 2019.
